Shopping in Bermondsey
Get up bright and early on a Friday morning and head to the famous Bermondsey Antiques Market. Located in Bermondsey Square the market is open from 4am-2pm on Fridays. It's a great place to find both second hand and historic items. The market attracts dealers from all over the area and is known as the place to head for serious collectors. Next walk down Bermondsey St and pop into some of the popular shops along the way, these include Cockfighter in Bermondsey owned by up and coming design duo Kate Linden and Damian Wilson or United Nude/Terra Plana which sells it's own-made shoes. You may also want to head down Snowsfields to Eley Kishimoto who are at the fore front of print design.
Stop in for lunch at one of Bermondsey Street's many eateries which include gastro pub The Garrison, or Delfina Cafe and Studio.
At the top of Bermondsey St, head along to Hays Galleria which is home to a variety of shops including the Christmas Shop which is open all year round. There is also a selection of market stalls housed in the Galleria itself. Finish off the day with a visit to the Hide Bar, which is located on the ground floor of the International Wine and Spirits School.
