Quirky Shopping
Over the last few years a large number of quirky original shops especially those of the gourmet variety have sprung up in the area surrounding Lordship Lane, making this area a fantastic shopping experience.
Start at the Goose Green end of Lordship Lane and head first to the ED Deli (15-17 Lordship Lane) which has a good selection of cheeses, charcuterie, wines and all sorts. Make your next stop along Green and Blue (38 Lordship Lane) this combined specialist wine shop and wine bar; they aim to stock wine that tastes delicious and source from all over the world. The Cheeseblock (69 Lordship Lane), is a cheese specialist that stocks around 200-300 varieties of cheese from all over the globe.
Just past the Cheeseblock is Northcross Road which you should turn left onto. Make your first stop Hope and Greenwood (20 Northcross Road) this traditional old fashioned sweet shop has been a huge success since it opened, stocking truffles, chocolates, boiled sweets, retro pick and mix and vintage gifts. Also to be found on this road are a children's bookshop The Neverending Story (59 Northcross Road), a boutique style beauty shop Dr Boo (18 Northcross Road) and a fancy shoe shop Stella b (51 Northcross Road)
Head back up to Lordship Lane to William Rose Butchers (126 Lordship Lane) which is one of the top butchers in South London, providing free range and organic British meat and game. Just near here you will find Roullier White (125 Lordship Lane) an ideal place to shop for wedding presents, and also stocking perfume from the family run perfumerie Creed. Finally head to Moxon's (149 Lordship Lane) this is the third branch in London of the traditionally-styled fishmonger with a great selection of high quality produce.
Afterwards put your feet up in one of the many gastropubs and bars spread along Lordship Lane.
