With 40,000 employees in the area, we thought you might like to experience Bankside like a local!
On Thursday and Friday lunch times, the thriving Borough Market, swarms with employees in suits buying a very tasty lunch to go, searching for ingredients for the evening's meal or having a pint in the Market Porter. Grab a delicious bite 'to go' and take a seat at one of Better Bankside's highly visible pink tables with chairs located in Southwark Cathedral's churchyard, in Cathedral Square (on the north side of the Cathedral) and in front of Tate Modern.
For lunches on the other days, head to Bankside 123 behind the Tate Modern and discover a series of interconnected public spaces surrounded by plenty of eating and drinking outlets including Leon, Tsuru, Crussh, Pret a Manger, Starbucks, Viva Verdi and Amano.
Throughout July, August and half of September, there is a programme of events devised specifically with the local employee in mind but we'd like to invite you to join them and experience Bankside as they do.
