Design Museum
The Design Museum, the UK’s largest provider of design education resources, has an education centre which encourages pupils to get involved in Design. There are various workshops run by qualified, experienced teachers held in their purpose built education centre. The workshops are run the National curriculum guidelines.
Workshops for primary school pupils include product evaluation, materials, mechanisms and structure and chairs.
For secondary and further education the workshops include product evaluation and materials, graphics and packaging, marketing and design, and workshops linked to the exhibitions. There is a Vernon Pantor resource pack, which looks at his radical use of form, colour and materials.
Teachers are welcome to visit the exhibition for free before their visit. Self guided tours are free for key stages 1—4. There needs to be a minimum of 12 pupils in each group.
