Things to Do
Bermondsey is an area with many things to appeal to the visitor. From the stylish shops of Bermondsey St, to the tranquil setting of Southwark Park, there is plenty here for a fulfiling day out as well as a host of bars and restaurants to keep you entertained in the evening.
Attractions in the area include Zandra Rhodes striking orange and pink Fashion and Textile Museum to the Cafe Gallery Projects set in the middle of Southwark Park.
Southwark Park itself is a large oasis in the middle of Bermondsey, featuring a boating lake, sports fields and children's play areas which are perfect to either relax, exercise or let the children blow off steam. Also the river path through Bermondsey is a great place for a stroll and is home to the historic Angel Pub.
Shoppers will want to head straight to Bermondsey Street with its mixture of graphic and fashion designers including Cock Fighter and Kurt Geiger and the Delfina Art studios with a changing programme of exhibitions. Those serious about antiques will want to catch the famous Bermondsey Antiques Market on Friday mornings.
