Springboard
Springboard UK is a uniquely positioned, high profile not-for-profit organisation working across the UK to support and promote the hospitality, travel, leisure and tourism industry as a great place to work and to help industry employers address the perennial image, recruitment and retention issues.
It does this through delivering targeted sector-based campaigns, public relations work, production of careers materials and the organisation of relevant industry-focused events.

Work Place Co-ordinators
The main objective of the project is to give unemployed people, who are resident in the Cross River Partnership area (Lambeth, Southwark, Wandsworth, Corporation of London or City of Westminster), the opportunity of accessing jobs in their local museums, theatres, art galleries and visitor attractions by providing a variety of training courses to prepare them for employment and to give them qualifications relevant to Front-of-House work.
Rodrigo Passannanti, who is a Southwark resident and had been unemployed for over a year, attended one of our pre-employment training courses for the position of Yeoman on the HMS Belfast earlier this year. Rodrigo said, ‘he wouldn’t even have known about the existence of such a job had it not been for the Project’, and that, ,he had a gained a sense of confidence from the excellent preparation he received’.
Rodrigo has been employed on the Belfast for 5 months now and is ‘enjoying every minute of it’. Kevin Price, Chief Yeoman, says that ‘if we heard of any more Rodrigos looking for work, then we would like a dozen!’
